Step by step

- Gerbera Aura, Fire Starter, Salal leaf, cotton, crochet hooks and various tools.
- Pick eight same sized leaves and stack them. Use a piece of copper to make a large hole through all eight leaves. Use a perforator and make holes on four sides of the large hole, ensuring that all the holes are in line. Note: keep plenty of room between the holes and the margins.
- Loosely crochet the leaves together. Start with a chain of 20 stitches, and then crochet in the first leaf; after four more stitches add the next leaf. Repeating the same steps on each side will give a balanced result. Note: all the leaves must point in the same direction. End with a few chain stitches.
- Tie the ends together around and beneath the flower head.
- Stand in water.
